【Event】The 2025 Fall Semester “Lunchtime Gathering” was held.
On December 12, 2025, we held a “Lunchtime Gathering (Welcome for New SPRING Students & Overseas Business Trip Report Session).”
This gathering was organized to welcome two new students accepted into SPRING for the fall semester of 2025 and to deepen their interaction with existing students.
First, newly admitted and existing students introduced themselves in English and shared their research themes and areas of interest. This gathering of students from different disciplines provided an opportunity for future collaborative research and information exchange.
Next, in the overseas trip reports, three students who participated in international programs supported by SPRING this year took the stage. Their reports covered a wide range of topics for each program—RENKEI (held in the UK), SACRU (held in Italy), and MIRAI (held in Sweden)—including academic sessions and workshops, networking opportunities on-site, and even the local cityscapes, cultures, and cuisine. All presentations were delivered in English. Through presentations incorporating photos and anecdotes, attendees gained a vivid sense of the learning and experiences gained overseas. The reports conveyed a powerful message: “We strongly encourage everyone to take on this challenge next year” and “We hope you broaden your knowledge abroad and cultivate an international perspective.” This filled the entire venue with a positive atmosphere.
Finally, we enjoyed a lively conversation, covering a wide range of topics from academic matters to everyday life and various procedures, which we discussed with our seniors. It proved to be a valuable opportunity to hone our international communication skills, and it was impressive to see how much closer the participants became.
This gathering served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen networking among SPRING students and boost their motivation for international challenges. We intend to continue providing such exchange opportunities to support student growth.
